La marque Venturi a déjà beaucoup fait parler d'elle parmi les petits contructeurs de prestige qui nous entourent, peu nombreux soient ils aujourd'hui. L'histoire se poursuit à Monaco.

Du concept car à la production...

Le concept-car Fétish a été dévoilé en 2002 au Salon de Genève, pour présenter la nouvelle orientation prise par Venturi en terme de design, puis à Paris au Mondial de l’Automobile la même année ; ce concept-car a été récompensé par l’attribution d’un « Talent du Luxe », et le « Michelin Challenge Design » nommé ensuite "Ambassadeur de la France" au Salon de l’Automobile de Detroit 2003.

Du concept-car Venturi va passer à la voiture définitive pour « faire la voiture de sport des 20 années à venir », indiquait GILDO lors du Mondial de l’Automobile à Paris en dévoilant la Fétish de production "C'est la première voiture de sport électrique de série de l’histoire de l’automobile". Elle démontre qu’il est possible de fabriquer aujourd’hui ce que les grands constructeurs automobiles ne proposeront que dans 20 ans... Un véhicule qui fait rêver et ne manque pas de performance contrairement aux idées reçues pour les véhicules électrique avec une vitesse de pointe de 170 km/h, une autonomie de 350 km avec recharge rapide (sous 80 Amp) soit une recharge de 1,6 km/mn ".

Le projet a été pris en charge pour la technique par cet ingénieur français bien connu dans le sport automobile aussi l’architecture générale de la Venturi est comparable à celle d’une voiture de course, avec un moteur idéalement placé en position centrale arrière et adossé à un châssis monocoque carbone. La liaison au sol est pour sa part une évolution de la Venturi Atlantique 300, dont la réputation de la tenue de route est exemplaire. Le poids léger est un facteur de record avec 750 Kg à vide car avec les batteries ont atteint quand même 1100 kg.

Ce véhicule électrique est silencieux et revête un changement total de repères technologiques. C’est la batterie au Lithium-Ion, et non plus le moteur, qui est au centre de la valeur technologique du véhicule et de ses performances. La conduite de la Venturi Fétish est une pleine de nouveauté avec un couple moteur disponible à 100% au démarrage, montant à 14.000 tr/mn équipée d'un frein moteur réglable, autant d'évolution qui ne manquent pas de surprendre puisque le moteur de 180Kw passe de 0 à 100 Km/h en moins de 5 secondes, supplantant ainsi techniquement nombre de véhicules thermiques de plus de 330CV.

Fétish est ainsi une vraie voiture de sport qui se pilote avec précision et finesse en offrant des performances exceptionnelles.

Commercialisée au Japon et U.S.A.

Elle a été proposée à la vente en priorité à Tokyo dès novembre 2004 et Los Angeles à partir de janvier 2005, deux marchés sensibles aux enjeux environnementaux. En Europe, Paris, Londres et Monte Carlo vont voir la Fetish également s'implanter. Le prix de ce concept est de 540.000 € TTC.

Sacha LAKIC et le désign de la fetish

« Dans l’univers de l’automobile, comme dans tout autre domaine, certains rêves restent prisonniers de l’imaginaire, et puis d’autres, pas les moins fous, peuvent prendre forme dans la réalité d’aujourd’hui. C’est précisément l’un de ces rêves que je vis avec GILDO et son équipe depuis le printemps 2001, époque à laquelle je fus embarqué dans cette aventure. Désir secret, la réalisation d’un projet automobile, qui plus est est aussi sportif, c'est un grand moment dans la carrière d’un designer, un objet-culte et symbole de notre temps. Le rêve qui m’anime aujourd’hui fait partie de ces aventures humaines qui laissent une empreinte" disait-il "il démontre aussi qu’il existe une alternative excitante au moteur à explosion, un projet innovant qui respecte les codes de l’automobile-passion tout autant que le monde qui nous entoure". Il veut prouver qu’il existera une vie après la mort de l’automobile actuelle.

La Venturi est une sculpture de carbone limitée à 200 exemplaires numérotés.

With the Fetish Concept car, Venturi Ltd make is going to the production. Symbol of renewal, unveiled in 2002 at the Geneva International Motor Show, embodies the new turn Venturi has taken in terms of design.

Presented at the Paris Motor Show the same year, the Fétish concept-car was awarded a “Talent du Luxe” as well as the “Michelin Challenge Design”, therefore making Venturi ambassador of France during the 2003 Detroit Motor Show.

Reinforced by public enthusiasm, we had to turn the concept-car into a real production car: “to create the sports car of the next 20 years”, such was the ambitious directive of Gildo Pallanca Pastor for Fétish, to be revealed at the 2004 Paris Motor Show, coinciding with the gyrfalcon brand’s 20th anniversary.

This vehicul is the first production electric sports car in automobile history.
Venturi demonstrates that it's possible to make today what the big automobile manufacturers are only proposing 20 years from now.

Fétish is the first desirable electric car to be beautiful and desirable. Fétish offers a remarkable acceleration and a maximum speed of 170 Km/h, well above the maximum speed limit. Finally, this electric cars offers 350 Km of autonomy and a rapid battery recharge (with 80 Amps) of 1,6 Km a minute or 10 minutes recharge for every 16 Km, easily covering the needs of daily urban transport.

Under the technical direction of Gérard Ducarouge, chief engineer of the project, and "auto motor sport french V.I.P." has conceived the Fetish like a sportive car with the best technolgy available world-wide, regardless of price. With the engine ideally positioned in rear central position and a monocoque carbon chassis, the overall architecture of the Venturi is comparable to that of a racing car. The roadholding is an evolution, even with regard to the Venturi Atlantique 300, already well renowned for its excellent roadholding . The vehicle attains a record light weight of 750 Kg without and 1100 Kg with batteries.

With the Fetish's car, Venturi is at the epicentre of the automobile technological advancement and its performance. With state of the art technology available and the mass production of batteries for mobile phones and laptop computers, an electric sports car is no longer out of the question.

However, before Fétish and the Lithium-Ion batteries, it was not possible to stock enough energy in an automobile : more than a ton of batteries would have been necessary to achieve the same power…

Driving a Venturi Fétish is an entirely new experience, that of driving the car of the future ! Equipped with a linear torque engine, 100% available on ignition, achieving 14,000rpm and adjustable engine braking - have you ever driven such a roadster ?

With a 180Kw engine, Fétish offers a unique driving sensation: accelerating from 0 to 100Km/h in less than 5 seconds, demonstrating that its electric propulsion engine indeed supersedes many petrol engines over 330Hp.

Fétish is therefore a true sports car that can be driven with precision, offering an exceptional performance.

Venturi made Fetish is made for sale commencing with Tokyo (November 2004) and Los Angeles (January 2004), and after in Europe with Paris, London and Monte-Carlo have also been selected as the main target markets in Europe with a price of € 540000 VAT included.

Cult-object, symbol of our times, the automobile has always reflected and been influenced by social, technological and cultural movements. This dream of mine is one of the human adventures that will leave a distinct mark.”

Fétish is an exciting alternative to the petrol engine and utilises and maximises all available techniques and technologies with a unique goal: Pleasure. Fétish simply demonstrates that there is a future after the death of the traditional car of today.
